Clinical and imaging advances in the management of patients with liver disease have significantly altered the scope of disorders encountered by pathologists, shifting biopsy assessment of fibrosis stage among patients with chronic viral hepatitis or steatosis to unraveling complicated medical issues, hepatic effects of polypharmacy/targeted therapies or tumors of unclear etiology. This course prepares pathologists to evaluate these situations in contemporary practice.
