Special Info
Plasma, serum, FFPE tissue blocks/slides, or frozen tissue, or extracted DNA will be rejected. Specimens collected in anticoagulants other than EDTA or sodium heparin are unacceptable. Clotted or grossly hemolyzed specimens will be rejected. This test is New York DOH approved.
Clinical Info
Detect IDH1 and IDH2 mutations in whole blood or bone marrow. May have prognostic significance in patients with hematologic malignancies, depending on the clinical and genetic context.
