The Alpha-Fetoprotein test was performed using the Beckman Unicel DxI immunoenzymatic assay. Results obtained with different assay methods or kits cannot be used interchangeably.
Clinical Info
The test is intended for follow up of patients undergoing treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma or testicular or ovarian cancers, among others.
Clinical Limitation
This test is not to be used for maternal screening.
