Clinical Info

Adenovirus causes respiratory tract infections, conjunctivitis, and diarrhea. Infections are most common in young children and immunocompromised individuals. Adenovirus antigen detection is useful to confirm the diagnosis of adenovirus infection in patients with gastroenteritis.
