Interphase FISH analysis utilizing a dual color, break-apart probe for the SS18 (SYT) gene at 18q11.2. Rearrangements of the SS18 gene are observed in synovial sarcoma. The translocation partner gene cannot be identified with this assay. If no cells are available for analysis, no analysis charges will be incurred.
