Special Info
Do not draw from an arm with a heparin lock or heparinized catheter. Collect blood in a blue-top tube containing 3.2% buffered sodium citrate. When using a winged collection device (e.g., butterfly), a discard tube is required prior to collection of coagulation samples. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
