Clinical Info

This test is intended for use in conjunction with clinical presentation and as an indication of disease prognosis in the clinical management of HIV-1 infected patients. The test can be used to establish a baseline level and/or to monitor antiretroviral therapy. The linear range of this assay is 20 copies/mL to 10,000,000 copies/mL. The test quantitates all major Group M subtypes A-H, including circulating recombinant forms and HIV-1 group O virus. The LTR and the gag region of the HIV-1 genome are amplified and detected.
