This test is useful to optimize drug therapy and monitor patient adherence. Quetiapine is an antipsychotic drug indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The pharmacokinetics of quetiapine are influenced by drug-drug interactions that may inhibit or induce CYP3A4 metabolism. Adverse effects may include somnolence, hypotension, dizziness, fatigue, constipation, weight gain.
