Clinical Info

Adult Males: A testosterone level in the 193-320 ng/dL range with associated clinical symptoms is considered low and may indicate hypogonadism (from NEJM 2010 363:123-135). Results > 320 ng/dL are considered normal. Pediatric Patients: Reference ranges were not locally established for pediatric patients. The normal values are based on the following source: Kulasingam V, Jung BP, Blasutig IM, et al. Pediatric reference intervals for 28 chemistries and immunoassays on the Roche cobas® 6000 analyzer—A CALIPER pilot study. Clinical Biochemistry. 2010;43:1045-1050.
