Clinical Info

Interphase FISH analysis utilizing a dual color, break-apart probe for the TFEB gene at 6p21.1. This is useful in the identification and accurate classification of renal cell carcinomas. This probe set also allows for the identification of TFEB amplification, which has been associated with a more aggressive class of renal carcinomas. The translocation partner gene cannot be identified in this assay. If no cells are available for analysis, no analysis charges will be incurred.
