Necrosis area should be less than 15%. Cut 5 charged, unbaked slides, 4um thick. Pre and post H&E slides must be examined. Tumor area will be microdissected from USS. Specimens that undergo heavy metal fixation or are decalcified with strong acids (i.e., formic acid) are not acceptable for molecular testing. Non-decalcified specimens or samples that undergo EDTA decalcification are acceptable. |

Clinical Limitation
MGMT Methylation Assay detects methylation in Exon 1 of the MGMT gene. It does not detect methylation in the promoter.
