Serum gel tubes are NOT acceptable. This test is New York DOH approved.

Clinical Info

This test is useful to measure immune response to rabies vaccination. In humans, a result of 0.5 IU/mL or higher is considered an acceptable response to rabies vaccination according to the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines; see WHO and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices documents for additional guidance.
